A couple weeks ago Caine and I took a trip to Italy Venice to be exact. That was a blast we saw all the canals and waterways and we were there during Carnaval which is a huge Mardi Gras type celebration.
We met up with some Pi Phi's from Iowa State and their friends who we stayed with for the weekend. Caine was very excited to get to see her friends and we had a lot of fun exploring And seen everything Venice had to offer.
Two weeks later Caine and I met in London. Got to see everything from Big Ben, to Buckingham Palace, to Tower Bridge, and even the Globe Theatre. This is been one of my most favorite places that we have visited so far.
London Eye
Buckingham Palace
On Saturday we decided to close explore the local markets and see the Sherlock Holmes Museum. The museum was really cool and we got a lot of sweet souvenirs, and some good pictures. The markets were very interesting although we had a run-in with a really weird store, where the guys really didn't want us to leave. So I paid for my flag after talking the guy down to 5 pounds from 10 pounds and we bolted out the door. Caine and I were a little freaked out, so we decided to eat a crêpe. Later that night we met up with one of Caine's friends for dinner.
On Sunday we did more exploring, and took lots of pictures with our flags. It was a really nice day so we did a lot of walking. We didn't actually go and see too many attractions, because my brother Logan and my cousin Kirk will be coming to visit in a couple of weeks so we will go see them then. It was kind of nice however to just walk through the city and see a different side of London.

Yep that guy just picked his noise and ate it haha.
I didn't pretty busy in my classes here at school. Most of them are electrical classes but I do have one American history class go figure. I am finding the class on microprocessor systems very interesting, and I think that might be something that I would like to go into. We did a really cool project in that class where I got to program a microchip that would be used to simulate a stoplight and pedestrian crossing system. I know it sounds kind and nerdy and boring but I really found interesting. Since I have been taking this American history class, I have been watching the news every day.. I watch the NBC nightly news so I'm actually watching last nights news since I am six hours ahead. Not only does it help me understand why things are going the way they are in class as far as history is concerned, but a lot of people over here like to talk about the United States. It's almost like there isn't enough excitement in their own country, so they have to live vicariously to our excitement. Who knows, I find it kind of funny.
Well I guess that's it for now, I hope everyone is doing well! I found a new way to blog on my iPhone, so I should be putting a lot more blog posts up! Now I need to do is get all the pictures from Caine, so you can blame her if my blog posts don't get put up regularly. just kidding Cainer :).
Cheers,
Tym
