Gate Crasher!!!

This was the club we went to last night!

A couple of my roomates

It was a blast!!!

...and we're of!!!

Well I started class yesterday, it went pretty well! I have one asian professor that is hard to understand (lots of broken english). So I think me first two classes will go ok, and I am waiting to see how the one today goes....awww. Now I just have to find 3 more classes to take, which is much easier said than done. It is hard to find a class that is set in the second semester, and fits my schedule. If any of you know me, you know that I am nervous and frustrated by this lol. I like things organized, give me a break.

Last night was awesome though! My flatmates took me out on the town, and I got to meet everyone from the 1st floor to the 6th in block 5 (my building). We went to a place called the Gate Crasher, and had a great time! I'll put some pictures up later.

After I got home. I tried to skype Caine, Clay, and Heather, but fell asleep. When I woke up at 5 this morning, I hoped out of bed and saw I had 8 missed calls. So I skyped them back and we talked for awhile. Gosh those guys are funny. I am going to miss them this semester lol.

This morning, I decided to sleep in a bit since I was up pretty early skyping......until they decided to test the fire alarms at 9 this morning lol. Are we having fun yet??? I think so.......

I am waiting for class listening to the KAT out of Omaha, and I just heard that you guys are going to have a 60 degree day today....you guys suck haha. Well, I am off to class, I guess people want me to learn stuff. To bad right haha.

I'll check back in soon,
Tym

THE BULL RING Market

So today we tried our luck at the Bull Ring Market which makes up the center of the city. There were people everywhere!!! They were coming from every direction. We finally made it to a where we could get some food, and as you can see from above, it was pretty good. I had what they call here a "Toad In A Hole". I think they should get a better name, but it still tasted pretty good.

Today, I also went to a place like JC Pennys and got a King size duvet (fancy word for comforter) for less than one for a single size bed would cost! To bad it would cost as much as a King size back in the States, because of the conversion rate lol....sorry mom. Not really sure how I am getting it home either. Hmmm......

Well tonight, I think a couple of are going to go try pubbing for supper and drinks in Selly Oak. Oh, and my first roommate showed up. Her name is Georgie, and she hugged me when we first met, so I think it will get a lot less lonely around here haha. But Caine, you don't have anything to worry about :) Love you :).

Well think that's it for now, tell next time :)

Cheers!!!

Well I made it across the pond. It was a crazy trip and I went 30+ hours without out sleep trying to get everything set up yesterday, but I finally got to sleep after Caine Skyped me and calmed me down. Today was better. I went and got my student id and tried to schedule classes here, but people here don't work to hard on Friday so I only got like 4 of my 6 classes scheduled. They really don't ever get to worked up about things around here, they just told me that missing classes the first week was not a big deal, so I hope that holds true lol. Hopefully that gives me more time to travel with Caine :)!!!

It is pretty cool here. The clock tower here is bigger than big ben, everything is super old, and it is kind of like a snack size america that drives backwards and has no horse power under the hoods. Literally if you could imagine two squirls ducking it out under the hood, I'm pretty sure that is how their cars run over here.

Everyone is pretty polite and help out a lot....especially when we are lost....which happens a lot. Especially being this far away from home. Tomorrow, I think a couple of us are headed to the city centre (they don't know how to spell center here) to do a bit of shopping and exploring. Since I still have no bedding to sleep with. Let me tell you what. It sucks to sleep with coats as blankets, but it will do for now.

Well I guess that is it for now until Caine makes me post another one haha (I secretly like it, just don't tell her haha)

Cheers everyone!

The Count Down

Well here we are 17 days from wheels up in the US and 18 from touchdown in Europe. To be honest, I'm a bit nervous, but I'm sure it all will go brilliantly! Now all I have to do is figure out how many pairs of underwear I'll need and how I am going to fit the next 4 month of my life into one suit case :/.

As all ways keep in touch,
Tym
